TRAVEL DAY

Today was Travel Day! We flew from Minneapolis to Fort Lauderdale, connecting in Detroit, so it took most of the day to get here. We got to our hotel and they upgraded us to bigger, ocean view room, so that was a nice surprise!
The weather was in the upper 70's but as night fell it seemed cooler, due to a blustery wind. Tomorrow's forecast is 81. We are here another day (Saturday) and then embarking on Sunday. A friend of mine is here sailing out tomorrow on Princess. She tells me that there will be EIGHT ships sailing from Port Everglades tomorrow! I would like to watch some of them depart if possible.

This hotel is right on the beach, with just a two lane road between the buildings and the sand. There is a Bubba Gump Shrimp attached to the hotel and we ate dinner there, just because it was so handy. Tomorrow, looking forward to walking on that long beach!
